Chemical Peels

 

A chemical peel involves the application of a chemical (acidic) solution onto the skin, which acts to remove and regenerate the top layers of the skin. In clinic we use the Clinicare brand and during your initial consultation we will complete a medical questionnaire and talk about your skin concerns to find the right solution for you.

Chemical peels are known to improve skin appearance and skin tone, reduce pigmentation as well as being effective to reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as aiding to reduce scarring.​

Depending on your skin concerns a course of treatment is recommended, usually 3 sessions over a 6-8 week period. Then following the first course, you may require maintenance treatments as recommended by your practitioner.

 

Directly after your treatment it is likely that there may be some redness in the treated area, this should calm down after the first 24-48hrs

Your skin will be more sensitive to sunlight so you will be required to stay out of the sun/ wear a hat and NO sunbeds for 7-10 days

No make up for 48 hrs

Sunscreen is essentail to protecting the skin following treatment & always

Recommended to start with a course of 3 sessions
